Ek Thi Daayan

The promo of the movie looks promising and the music is exciting and inquisitive, to the creative reputation of Vishal Bharadwaj and Gulzar.
1.      Yaaram by Sunidhi Chauhan and Clinton Cerejo.
Clinton Cerejo (Kya Karoon from Wake up Sid)
This will become the popular pick of the album. There are interesting words used, starts with Yaaram ... seems like beautiful extension of yaar. This is a lyrics oriented song so you will have to hear it 4/5 times to get to it. Anyone would love to have such assistant. Words like jamhaai, ungha are aptly used. It starts slowly and picks up good. Best lines will be Koi khabar aayi na pasand toh,end badal denge and Band aankhon me le ke tumhe ungha karenge hum Takiye chaadar mehake rehte hain Jo tum gaye

2.    Totey Ud Gaye by Suresh Wadekar and Rekha Bharadwaj.
This is Punjabi Suresh Wadekar and background dhol all through the song. Suresh Wadekar seldom sings peppy song; I don’t remember any after Sapne mein milti hai , Rekha Bharadwaj raw voice and few lines by Sukhwinder in the end completes the song.
3.     Kaali Kaali by Clinton Cerejo.
This song brings you more into the movie.  My best pick of the album and I am sure this one will be remembered for the lyrics and melody. You can visualise Huma Quereshi for the romantic essence of the song. After Guncha Koi Mere Naam, i heard the word jazeere in the song. Kaali kaali ankhon mein dubane ke liye waqt lagega par dobne ke baad baahar nahi aa paayenge.
4.    Lautungi Main by Rekha Bharadwaj.
Now you get more into the movie, this is the title track of the movie; the longest song must have been used in parts for 2-3 times. The music is with twist and suspense, sounds of insects and ghungroos add spice to the voice of Rekha Bharadwaj.
5.    Sapna Re Sapna by Padmanabh Gaikwad.
Sung by child artist, from Saregama 2010, the reference of the song will be clear in the movie probably. Sweet voice and lyrics for the time being.
